A career in real estate is very interesting. One seldom knows what the next day will bring. You can begin at any age over 18 and can remain in this exciting profession for as long as you wish. There is no mandatory retirement age. Speaking English as a second language need not be a deterrent; as a matter of fact, it can be an asset. What you do need is an outgoing personality and a desire to become the best in your field.

 

Below are the requirements for licensure as a Pennsylvania real estate salesperson.

WHAT DO I DO ?

 

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSURE FOR SALESPERSON OR RENTAL LISTING REFERRAL AGENT.

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Successfully complete 60 hours of basic real estate courses: The two mandatory courses consist of the following: 30 hours, Real Estate Practice and 30 hours, Real Estate Fundamentals. You may take either course first. For each course, there is a final examination.
  • Upon successful completion of the education requirements, you will need to register to take a state Salespersons  licensing examination. The questions are multiple-choice and include items on the state's real estate laws and real estate in general. The passing grade is 75.
  • After successful completion of  the state Salespersons licensing examinations, you must make application for licensure with a Pennsylvania, licensed real estate Broker. Once licensed under your employing Broker, you may begin working as a licensed PA. real estate  Salesperson. Check back here for any changes to the requirements.

 

 

The Pocono Real Estate Academy is approved by the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission, and the instructors are experienced educators.
